Vodafone UK will follow Orange UK’s lead, launching the iPhone 3GS on the local market. Just yesterday we learned, that O2′s exclusivity contract with Apple expired, so now Orange UK will be able to sell the iPhone, most likely from October.
Meanwhile, Vodafone UK will only be getting a piece of the iPhone action from the beginning of 2010, after 2 years of O2 UK exclusivity for Apple’s phone.
Next move? Probably T-Mobile with a similar announcement and 3UK as well, since they’re important carriers, but they might also focus on the wave of fresh Android handsets coming soon.
