Vodafone has just announced BlackBerry Storm2 officially and it turns out that the smartphone will be reaching the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain, South Africa, France, Italy and Netherlands soon. Vodafone UK will be shipping the phone starting October 26.
Also dubbed BlackBerry 9520, the handset comes with an improved SurePress technology, allowing you to control the 3.25 inch display (capacitive touchscreen), with a 360 x 480 pixels resolution. The handset’s specs list includes BlackBerry OS 5.0, quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM connectivity, plus UMTS/HSPA (2100 MHz), Wi-Fi and GPS.
A 3.5mm audio jack is also on board, plus a Vodafone music client (preinstalled), a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 256MB of Flash memory and a microSD card slot with support for 32GB units. There’s also a 1400 mAh battery on the specs list and we found out that Storm2 will be available for free via Vodafone, for people choosing a 2 year contract and a £35 per month data plan.
