Virgin Mobile USA has just launched a fresh texting device, LG Rumor2, that’s available at quite a reasonable price: $129.99. This QWERTY slider is also available through Sprint, but this operator plans on buying Virgin Mobile USA, so the latter will focus on the prepay side of the biz.
LG Rumor2 packs a QVGA 240 x 320 pixel resolution screen, Google Maps for Mobile, a 1.3 megapixel camera, Opera Mini (pre loaded) and Stereo Bluetooth. Radio Shack will be selling the device exclusively from September, followed by Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Target in October, no contract attached.
