Verizon’s LG Chocolate Touch is VX8575, BL40 Cousin?

Verizon’s focus group had the choice between two prototypes of the fresh LG Chocolate Touch phone, but decided that the BL40 model is not suitable for the market and went with the VX8575 version. You can check it out below and notice that it’s less appealing than LG BL40. Why, oh why Verizon?

We’re back to the featurephone segment, since the VX8575 only packs a 3.2 megapixel camera, a HTML browser, a WVGA TFT display, a 3.5mm audio jack and a multitasking music player. There’s also a microSD card slot on the specs list, USB 2.0 support, GPS and many others.

Design-wise you can consider this handset a LG Dare 2 brother…
