Verizon Wireless was recently rumoured not to sell Palm Pre, a piece of info that recently became popular on the web, but thanks to the folks of Boy Genius Report, we’re back to Planet Earth, since the rumours were dispelled. And yes, Verizon IS going to sell Pre, probably sooner than you think.
We expect Palm Pre to be available via The big Red in 2010, most likely after the Sprint exclusivity contract ends, but they’ll have HTC Hero to play with anyway. Meanwhile, we’ll have to pay more attention to Palm Pixi (Eos), the secondĀ webOS handset, that will be available in the US soon enough.
While everyone’s worrying about Verizon, it’ll be interesting to find out how Palm Pre performs in Europe, where it’ll be available from October, via O2, in countries like the UK, Germany and Ireland.
