Verizon to Welcome Motorola Sholes, Now With FCC Approval

Verizon Wireless has all the reasons to rush into launching Motorola Sholes, an Android handset that was just approved by the FCC. As you might already know, there’s another Moto Android phone coming to the US, CLIQ, but it’s coming via T-Mobile.

Motorola Sholes supports 3G connectivity, CDMA dual band connectivity as well and it also features a 1400 mAh Li-Ion battery, a 3.7 inch touchscreen display (480 x 854 pixels resolution), a 5MP camera and more. The latter comes with autofocus and video recording, plus flash.

As far as memory is concerned, Sholes gets 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM and a microSD/microSDHC card slot for some extra gigs of storage space. Notice the sliding QWERTY keyboard in the picture above and the specifications sheet is rounded up by GPS, Wi-Fi and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
