Since Pre is selling so well on Sprint and Best Buy even afford to make the mistake of selling it for $99, Verizon also wants a piece of the fresh Palm pie and they’re not ashamed to admit it. This, in spite of the fact that Sprint’s CEO, Dan Hesse was betting on a longer exclusivity for Pre.
Now, we learn that Verizon will be selling Palm’s first webOS phone starting from early 2010, just when Sprint’s exclusivity ends, unless they do something about it.
Looking forward to also seeing the iPhone switching sides, although this would a much more delicate affair, since you can’t compete with AT&T so easily and take away their biggest cash cow ever.
