Vodafone UK has just announced 3 fresh releases today: Sony Ericsson Satio, LG GM750 and HTC Tattoo. The phones are all available now, for free with a 2 year contract with different monthly rates for each handset. Satio will have you spending £35 a month, while LG GM750 and HTC Tattoo will put a £25-worth hole in your pocket each month.

Buying the handsets online gets you 300 minutes per month extra, courtesy of Vodafone, certainly a neat deal, if you ask me. LG GM750 is a Windows Mobile 6.5 handset packing a 5 megapixel camera, GPS receiver, Wi-Fi, the S-Class use interface and a 3 inch QVGA display.

HTC Tattoo is an Android device, that packs a 2.8 inch touchscreen display, a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 3.5mm headset jack, GPS and a microSD card slot. FM radio and Android 1.6 are also on board.

Vodafone UK seems to be gearing up for a BlackBerry Storm 2 announcement this week, or so claim the folks of The Guardian. Also dubbed Storm 9520, the device might be available for free with over £30 tarrifs ($47.40), with either an 18 months or 24 months contract.

Also, it seems plausible that Vodafone UK wants to counter O2′s Palm Pre offer, by offering the BlackBerry Storm 2 for free, with a contract. The smartphone features a 3.2 megapixel camera with support for video recording, a light sensor, a touchscreen display (360 x 480 pixels) and you’ll also find GSM quad band connectivity on its specs, CDMA dual band and UMTS (European/Asian 3G).

Storm 2′s specs list also includes a microSDHC card slot, BlackBerry OS 5.0, predictive text input, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Vodafone UK is now offering Sony Ericsson Satio, the hot 12 megapixel cameraphone also known as Idou, via pre-order on its official site. The handset is available for free with a pay monthly set of plans starting from £35. If you pre-order the cameraphone today, you’ll receive it around October 13th.

Sony Ericsson Satio comes with a 12.1 megapixel camera, HSDPA support, GPS, Bluetooth, a memory card slot, stereo FM radio, a 3.5 inch touchscreen display, email, video calling and mobile TV features. GPRS and Wi-Fi are also on board, together with mobile games, an MP3 player and quadband connectivity.

The camera supports night mode, packs an anti shake filter and it also supports 12x digital zoom.

Vodafone UK will start shipping its new affordable Android-powered device called HTC Tatto in October. The price still remains a mystery for now and we must trust that this will be indeed a cheap smartphone. The features of this handset are pretty heavy, the device being equipped with the same Sense UI as HTC Hero, Wifi and GPRS plus HSDPA support.

Vodafone UK is about to launch a new Windows Mobile 6.5 – based handset called Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2. This is one of the eight coming-soon devices listed on their website and it’s set for a November launch date. From this list of devices it is also worth to be mentioned HTC Hero that will be launched earlier.

Vodafone UK have just listed BlackBerry 8520 as available on their page and the handset is available for free with Pay Monthly Plans starting from 25GPB. You can pick an 18 month or a 24 month contract, bundled with this device that sadly lacks 3G connectivity.

In case you’re missing the advanced connectivity options, there’s always Wi-Fi and GPS to use as consolation, both features being included on the new BlackBerry. Verizon and Vodafone UK might start selling BlackBerry Storm 2 (9550) from October of November, if the latest rumours concerning the handset are true. I guess that the climax of these sales will the holiday season, right?
