T-Mobile USA might merge with Sprint, through a Deutsche Telekom buyout of the American carrier, or so claim the latest rumours, quite scary for AT&T and Verizon, if you ask me. The resulting giant would have a huge offer of Android devices in its portofolio, certainly generating enough interest to compete with its NA rivals.

If Deutsche Telekom swallows Sprint Nextel, the resulting company will become greater than AT&T and thus be considered the second largest mobile operator in the States.

In case this transaction takies place, Sprint’s CDMA network would probably be converted to GSM, so this would change the services and setting on ALL of the carrier’s current devices, a huge task for any operator in the world and also associated with huge costs.
