AT&T’s version of HTC Touch Diamond 2, HTC Pure just got pictured by MobilityDigest. This is a Win Mo 6.5 powered device that will seemingly hit the market soon, if all the info we have at this point is accurate.

We assume that the specifications remain unchanged so this handset still packs a 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7200A processor, 512 MB of ROM memory expandable via microSD and 288MB RAM plus a 5 megapixel camera with video recording.

The device also features Wi-Fi, miniUSB, touch auto focus and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP. As far as connectivity is concerned, we mention 3G capabilities along with 2.5/2.75 G features (GPRS/EDGE).

AT&T was rumored to launch a new handset called HTC Pure a few weeks ago and that was the only news regarding this subject until now. It seems that what we’re seeing below, thanks to HTCpedia is none else than said mysterious device. The first thing that strikes you is the strange color of the case, a grating magenta that would have been more suitable for a leather costume.

Most of this device’s specifications still remain mysterious, but there are some features that this image reveals. It seems that this handset will have a 5 megapixel camera and since it doesn’t appear to have a sliding keyboard it seems we’re talking about a full-touchscreen display. We should also mention the phone’s four buttons, that appear on it’s front side.

HTCpedia also claims that the carrier that will launch this product under the name of Touch Diamond2 is AT&T. We can say the phone’s look is very similar to the one of MDA Compact V, a T-Mobile device sold in UK, that has the same strange colour, but only time will tell if this is indeed the same handset as the one referred to as HTC Pure.

AT&T has decided to make a new move on the market by releasing new Garmin-Asus and  HTC devices. The HTC phones we’re talking about are HTC Diamond2, marketed as the Pure and HTC Pro2 that will be known as Tilt2.

You will be able to get Tilt 2 for $299.99 (with a mail-rebate of $50)  and with a 2-year agreement while Pure’s price is $199 in the same conditions. The two handsets are also available outright, for $499.99 and $399.99.

The Garmin-Asus device in discussion is the GPS-enabled Nuvifone G60. You will be able to purchase it with a 2-year deal for $299.99 (with a mail-rebate of  $100)  or outright for $549.99. The launch date of all the mentioned devices is still unknown.

AT&T quit launching HTC Lancaster, announced to be their first Android-powered handset. The reasons for this cancellation are the rumored poor specs of this QVGA display phone.

If AT&T don’t want to be affected by this action, they should quickly launch a more suitable device for the market, but not HTC Fiesta. As they currently lack of Android handsets, their Windows Mobile range just got heavier instead, as two new cellphones joined the family.

We are talking about HTC Warhawk (aka HTC Touch Diamond2) and Fortress (aka HTC Touch Pro2) and the OS choice for both of them is no other than Windows Mobile 6.5. Their launcht is set for October and is very far compared to T-Mobile’s launch of Touch Pro2 that just took place this month.

Verizon Wireless has just revealed its very own version of HTC Touch Diamond2, the Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone that follows the very successful Touch Diamond. Also, details about HTC Tachi and HTC Mega have become available. Back to Diamond2, it’s probable that its OS will support an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5 later on.

Verizon’s HTC Touch Diamond2 supports GSM/CDMA, GPS, A-GPS and relies on a 528 MHz Qualcomm 7600 processor. Also on board, there’s a 3.6 inch touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera, 512MB ROM and 256MB RAM. The device should hit the stores this Fall for a yet unannounced price.

HTC Mega is a Windows Mobile 6.5 phone based on TouchFLO 2D and supporting HSDPA connectivity, while HTC Tachi will be getting the Dopod branding once it lands in China.
