Nextel and Boost Ready to Launch Motorola i410 Flip Phone

Boost and Nextel have got a cool iDEN flip phone coming, Motorola i410, a clamshell that recently made it to the FCC with the Nextel logo on it. The handset comes with two displays, one external and one internal, plus large side keys and no photo camera.

Motorola i410 also features push to talk functions, MMS, GPS and Bluetooth. Strangely enough, it turns out that Boost Mobile should have made this device official back in September, but somehow that didn’t happen. The mystery goes on and we’ve yet to find out if this is a ghost or a real phone.

Cricket Wireless Announces CAPTR Handset

Cricket Wireless has just introduced a brand new cellphone, dubbed CAPTR, or the short version of “capture”. This basic handset is a flip phone, as you can notice in the image below and it goes for as low as $130, being already available online and at Cricket retailers.

CAPTR comes with support for triband connectivity and it packs a VGA camera, Bluetooth, speaker phone and support for all of Cricket’s mobile services. Its battery will last 250 hours in standby mode, or 5 hours in talk mode.

Cricket’s new phone features two screens, an inside one plus one at the exterior and if you’re interested in the size of the “package”, CAPTR measures 3.54 x 1.81 x 0.74 inches.

Alltel Preparing to Launch LG AX310 Flip Phone

Alltel is gearing up to launch a new stylish low end phone, LG AX310, a flip handset with a clamshell form factor. We’re dealing with a device that has unimpressive specs, but for the price it’s available at, it’s quite a bargain.

Specs-wise, LG AX310 comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera with zoom, Bluetooth support, voice dialling and speaker-independent voice control. The handset goes for $29.99, after a $30 mail in rebate and bundled with a 1 year contract.

Alltel Launches Samsung Glint

Alltel has just launched two new handsets today: BlackBerry Tour and Samsung Glint. While the first handset is already very familiar, you might want to know that Glint is a low cost flip phone, that’s available in pink and blue.

Both phones are available right now and you should also know that Samsung Glint packs a VGA camera and Stereo Bluetooth. We remind you that the majority of Alltel was acquired by Verizon Wireless, so we’re dealing with a regional carrier this time.
