Sprint should have released HTC Touch Pro2 back in June, as most rumours claimed, but things didn’t work that way, so now we’re waiting the new release date. Turns out that some of the handset’s specs have surfaced on Sprint’s official website, a good sign for those who are waiting for the smartphone.
Sprint’s Touch Pro2 isn’t very different from the T-Mobile version, or the European one and it’s also known as HTC Rhodium. The device runs Windows Mobile 6.1 and features a 480 x 800 pixels touchscreen display, GPS and a 3.2 megapixel camera. It also supports GSM and CDMA connectivity, uses a sliding QWERTY keyboard and supports WiFi.
Price and launch date haven’t been confirmed yet, but you can expect a similar price to the one of the first Touch Pro ($299 on contract).
