<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.unwiredview.com/2009/08/07/apples-iphone-confirmed-for-korea-via-ktf/" target="_blank"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-258" title="KTF_iPhone_3G_South_Korea" src="http://mobile-carriers.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/KTF_iPhone_3G_South_Korea.jpg" alt="KTF_iPhone_3G_South_Korea" width="490" height="490" /></a></p>
<p>The price remains a mystery as well but it&#8217;s expected to be close to the one charged in the US,  $200 or $300 with contract, depending on the device&#8217;s memory (16 or 32 GB).</p>
<p>We remind you some of the phone&#8217;s features:  quad band UMTS/HSDPA and GSM/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, three-inch diagonal multi-touch display, 2 megapixels camera, audio player and others.</p>
<p>KTF could lose its unique iPhone seller status as SK Telecom, the country&#8217;s largest carrier is negotiating with Apple a possible deal for the iPhone.</p>

<p>KTF is South Korea&#8217;s second largest carrier and the company has just announced its intention to launch a mobile service relying on WiBro, the localized and improved version of WiMax.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.unwiredview.com/2009/08/03/ktf-to-launch-voice-service-over-wibro-in-korea/" target="_blank"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-162" title="KTF_WiBro" src="http://mobile-carriers.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/KTF_WiBro.jpg" alt="KTF_WiBro" width="490" height="233" /></a></p>
<p>The carrier will launch the new service in November 2009 and we found out that it&#8217;ll allow the users to make cheaper voice calls. WiBro is only used for broadband connections on laptops for now, but it&#8217;ll move on to the mobile segment starting this Fall.</p>
<p>This move will surely stir up the competition between local South Koraen carriers KTF, LG Telecom and SK Telecom.</p>
