There’s also support for CMMB (China Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting) on the specs list, plus the rest of the features from the classic Omnia II we’ve come to know and love. The most important of them is the 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen display and you should know that Windows Mobile is the OS of choice for the phone.

The device will also be known as Samsung i810 Chai or Samsung i8180c.

China Telecom instead prepares a CDMA 1x device from the same range, called Philips C702. We assume this since this cellphone has the China Telecom logo on it. The handset above sports a 3.4 inch QVGA display, a poor 1.3 megapixel camera, GPS and an internal memory of 70MB plus microSD support.

Of course, since this IS a China Mobile device, it doesn’t support Wi-Fi, but it comes with pretty decent specs, like a 3.5 inch WVGA touchscreen display, 256MB RAM, a 5 megapixel camera and GPS. Let’s just hope that this isn’t LG’s only Android phone in its 2009 portofolio.

China Mobile’s phone of the year could be a first for Dell and we’ve covered this rumoured Dell Phone quite a bunch of times already, so we’re getting acquainted with the device. Turns out that the first Dell phone will be called Benzine and it’ll reach China, probably via China Mobile.

It’ll be a huge surprise if we see it in China Unicom or Telecom’s portofolio.

Now, passing to the specs, we just found out that Dell Benzine supports quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE class 12 and it packs a 3.5 inch nHD LCD display with a 640 x 360 pixel resolution. OTA is also supported and the handset’s specs list also includes Microsoft Exchange, Google, AIM, Yahoo, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and A-GPS.

A virtual QWERTY keyboard will handle text input, being accompanied by handwriting recognition, a multi-touch UI and a microSD slot, in case you want more storage space. Dell Benzine’s camera is a 3 megapixel unit, with autofocus, 8x digital zoom and 30 fps video recording.

C7300 measures 109.4 x 57.6 x 14.2mm and weighs 110 grams, but too bad that we don’t know any price tag or release date just yet.

We’ve mentioned in an article yesterday the possibility of this happening and it seems that China Mobile has finally won the battle against China Unicom for Dell’s phone. It was first rumored that Android was the OS for this handset, dispelled later and then we supposed that Windows Mobile would be the true OS of choice.

It seems that the first assumption was the real one after all, in spite of the display dimensions.

So the new Android-powered device will be called Ophone mini3i and is planned for launch on August 17th as China Mobile themselves announced, together with their MobileMarket platform, a service resembling AppStore.

They hope that the newly created Ohpone brand will also be used by other vendors, like Lenovo and Dopod (HTC). Because all Ophones will support only TD-SCDMA, which stands for Time Division Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access and is the Chinese version of 3G, it will be very difficult to make these phones available outside China.

China Mobile or China Unicom might be getting ready to launch Dell’s long awaited handset and it seems each carrier has its chance. Although it seemed at first that Dell’s Phone was using Android, it was proven later that Windows Mobile will be the true OS choice.

The picture above strengthens the Windows Mobile theory as we can observe the screen ratio, 1:1:66 (WVGA) specific to Windows Mobile devices. If Android was indeed the correct OS, the display resolution would have been 320×480, with a screen ratio of 1:1:5.

It’s rumored that the initial prototypes were not approved by major carriers as they thought that Dell’s Phone is not at the height of their expectations. It seems that the initial plan was creating two versions of the device, one using Windows Mobile and one using Android, so we might be seeing both of them on the market.

We expect Dell Phone’s design to be similar with the one of iPhone, being a genuine touchscreen device with no physical keyboard, very rich in memory and connectivity options.

Video calling is also on board, together with a full web browser and the OPhone operating system (customized Android for the Chinese market). Too bad that we’ve got no specs to continue this promising list of leaks, but we’re really curious to find out what the deal with those “call” and “end call” buttons is.

Should we consider this some sort of huge phone? VoIP anyone?
