The Indian carrier Aircel had just signed a deal of partnership with RIM, gaining in this way the permission for trading Blackberry devices along with all the associated services in India.
For the start Aircel will provide 4 Blackberry handsets, both enterprise and for individual clients. We are talking about Pearl 8110, Bold 9000 and Curve 8310 plus Curve 8900. Aircel is also offering associated data contracts for these phones, including unlimited data traffic.
Aircel is one of the seven bigest carriers in India, sharing 6.3% of the market and having over 18 million subscribers. It is also one of the most expansive operators in the country.
